If you can’t stick to going to the gym, this is how to still get huge

My results after 1.5 years of working out at home with equipment under $100 (per 2 years, so the best investment ever)

Usually I would go to the gym for 1 month and then quit. You might not realize, but there is friction in going to the gym.

You have to maybe take a shower before, dress up, prepare your backpack, get your shoes. That takes you at least 15 minutes. People think (I used to as well) “Yea bro it’s not that much, you are just lazy if you can’t dress up and prepare your backpack”. Then why are you here reading this? You might even need to eat something before. That also takes time. So from the thought to the action is a lot a friction.

Why not work out at home? Just get up from your bed and start working out. That’s it.

Another huge reason why It is awesome to work out at home, is that you don’t wear a shirt. And watching your pump in the mirror is an incredible-underrated motivator. That’s what kept me going.

Also, you can really feel yourself when you listen to music. Which for me, it was the best motivator. It was something that made me like the workout 10x more (no exaggeration).

Eating white rice before the workout is a big workout hack. You will have the best pump (huge motivation) and energy (your brain won’t like the workout if it feels like you don’t have the resources you need to do it)

To summarize, my huge motivators that made working out the best thing in my life are:

  1. Music (especially some hard music like rap, trap, hard rock, or anything that makes you feel like the man)
  2. Watching your pump in the mirror with no shirt on. – seeing instant progress is the ultimate motivator.
  3. Letting your feelings of anger arise, motivate you and be processed (anger is fucking awesome and best motivator)4
  4. Eat white rice before working out

What do you need to lift at home?

  • Gymnast rings (tricep extension, rows, back shoulders)
  • Adjustable Dumbbells (2x 15-20kg dumbbells) (you can also use them for leg training, there are a lot of exercises for legs that you can do with low weights, you just have to do quick search)
  • Your body – I went up to 120kg (265lbs) bench only with pushups (there are a lot of hard variations, you just have to do a quick search)
  • Pull-up bar (you can get a door pull-up bar that is very cheap and easy to use)

Conclusion

“You can’t stick to something that you don’t like, so this is how you will make yourself love it.”

And remember, we all have bad days. Don’t worry about it.
